Dr. Capri Warchol is the owner of Authenticity NYC Psychology and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York and Connecticut.

Since 2008, Dr. Warchol has worked in leadership, clinical, and supervisory capacities in the eating disorder and substance use fields. She has experience providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy at the outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential levels of care. Dr. Warchol has served as Northeast Regional Director, Clinical Director, Program Director, and Assistant Director to multiple eating disorder and substance use programs across the country. She has been affiliated with Center For Discovery, BALANCE eating disorder treatment center, NYU Langone Military Family Clinic, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, StarVista Women’s Enrichment Center, along with several other highly respected organizations.

Dr. Warchol earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College and her Master’s degree in Psychology from Long Island University. She completed a second Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where her primary research focused on the experiences of social comparison in residential treatment settings for clients with eating disorders. In addition to her extensive clinical training as a psychologist, Dr. Warchol has demonstrated expertise in the field obtaining her CEDS Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and CEDS-C Consultant designation from the International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals. Additionally, she is an EMDR Trained trauma therapist through the EMDR International Association.

Dr. Warchol is passionate about reducing shame and stigma around food and bodies and spreading awareness through various outlets on disordered eating and eating disorders. She is trained as a Body Project Facilitator and Be Body Positive Facilitator. Dr. Warchol has proudly served as the previous Sponsorship Chair for the NY Chapter of International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals. She has provided presentations and educational sessions across the country on these topics to students, providers, and families. In addition to her therapy services in private practice, Dr. Warchol continues to offer clinical supervision to pre- and post-licensed clinicians and clinicians seeking their certified eating disorder credential.
