Dr. Capri Warchol, Psy.D., LP, CEDS-C, EMDR

Dr. Capri Warchol is the owner of Authenticity NYC Psychology and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York and Connecticut.

Since 2008, Dr. Warchol has worked in leadership, clinical, and supervisory capacities in the eating disorder and substance use fields. She has experience providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy at the outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential levels of care. Dr. Warchol has served as Northeast Regional Director, Clinical Director, Program Director, and Assistant Director to multiple eating disorder and substance use programs across the country. She has been affiliated with Center For Discovery, BALANCE eating disorder treatment center, NYU Langone Military Family Clinic, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, StarVista Women’s Enrichment Center, along with several other highly respected organizations.

Dr. Warchol earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College and her Master’s degree in Psychology from Long Island University. She completed a second Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where her primary research focused on the experiences of social comparison in residential treatment settings for clients with eating disorders. In addition to her extensive clinical training as a psychologist, Dr. Warchol has demonstrated expertise in the field obtaining her CEDS Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and CEDS-C Consultant designation from the International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals. Additionally, she is an EMDR Trained trauma therapist through the EMDR International Association.

Dr. Warchol is passionate about reducing shame and stigma around food and bodies and spreading awareness through various outlets on disordered eating and eating disorders. She is trained as a Body Project Facilitator and Be Body Positive Facilitator. Dr. Warchol has proudly served as the previous Sponsorship Chair for the NY Chapter of International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals. She has provided presentations and educational sessions across the country on these topics to students, providers, and families. In addition to her therapy services in private practice, Dr. Warchol continues to offer clinical supervision to pre- and post-licensed clinicians and clinicians seeking their certified eating disorder credential.

Caitlin Scafati, MA, MSW, LCSW/LICSW

Cait began her work in the eating disorders field more than 15 years ago working with the National Eating Disorders Association. Since that time she has worked with hundreds of clients and their families on their journey to recovery at all levels of care (outpatient, IOP, PHP, residential, and inpatient). In addition to NEDA, Cait has worked with the NYU Child Study Center, BALANCE eating disorder treatment center, COPE Center, and Within Health. Cait currently is licensed to offer virtual therapy in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Delaware, Vermont, Texas, Florida, Oregon, Wyoming, Ohio, and Iowa.

Cait is passionate about creating an affirming, safe, creative space for therapy through the lens of Health at Every Size®, Intuitive Eating, trauma-informed, and social justice frameworks. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and creative arts therapies. Cait earned her Master's degrees in Social Work and Art Therapy from New York University, and her Bachelor's degree from Smith College. She has also completed her certification as a Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) supervisor through New York University. Cait is currently co-chair of the Academy of Eating Disorders' Professionals and Recovery special interest group and is an Ambassador for the Eating Disorders Coalition. Cait is passionate about access to care, including LGBTQIA+ clients and for those providers who are struggling with their own recovery.

Dr. Sara Jalbert, Psy.D., LP, LPC

Dr. Sara Jalbert is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in NY and CT, specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, grief, anxiety, and interpersonal and relationship challenges. She offers individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, drawing on extensive experience across multiple levels of care—including outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and residential settings.

Dr. Jalbert has held a variety of clinical, supervisory, and leadership roles, most notably serving as Assistant Program Director at Center for Discovery. Her approach to psychotherapy is grounded in psychodynamic theory, with a strong emphasis on understanding the relationships we have with ourselves (including symptoms and different parts of the self), others, the world around us, and the therapeutic relationship itself. In her work, Dr. Jalbert integrates trauma-informed care with principles from Health at Every Size® (HAES), Intuitive Eating, and social justice frameworks. With warmth, openness, and a touch of humor, she creates a supportive space to explore the conscious and unconscious factors that shape everyday experiences across relational domains.

Dr. Jalbert earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph, after which she became licensed as a Professional Counselor. She went on to complete a second Master’s and a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University New England. Her doctoral research centered on psychodynamic and analytic treatment, with a focus on the therapeutic relationship as a key agent of change. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jalbert provides supervision for pre-licensed and early-career clinicians, continuing her commitment to the growth and development of fellow mental health professionals.
