Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer virtual or in-person therapy?

Our team of therapists offers both in-person and virtual therapy options. In-person sessions are located at 851 W. 181st St., New York, NY, 10033.

Do you take insurance?

The practice is not an in-network provider. While we are an out-of-network provider, we will provide you with a monthly “Superbill” that you can submit to your insurance to request for reimbursement.

What is out of network and how do I know if I have out of network benefits?

Out-of-network means all sessions are fee for service and paid at time of appointment. In instances where out-of-network benefits are covered, you will be responsible for payment to your therapist at the time of service and your insurance will reimburse to you any amount they cover.

You can check your out-of-network coverage by asking your insurance these questions:

Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?

Do my out-of-network benefits cover CPT codes initial psychiatric evaluation 90791; 30-minute psychotherapy 90832; 45-minute psychotherapy 90834; 60-minute psychotherapy 90837?

What is my deductible and has it been met?

How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

What is the coverage amount per session?

What are your fees for sessions?

Because the practice has multiple therapists and offers a range of session durations, we have a range of fees. We will work with you during the initial intake evaluation to assess what is clinically and financially supportive for you based on our fee range. During your initial free 15-minute consult call we will discuss fees in further detail.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel an appointment, we ask that you provide at least 48-hours notice or you will be charged the full fee of the session. We will make exceptions for emergency circumstances. If we have any open session times, we may be able to reschedule your session within the same work week, but this is not always possible based on availability.
